Austin’s Barrabool Wines (Geelong) – Some good wines here from an up and coming region. I also take a look at the 2004 Pinot Noir in the Pinot Tutorial here
“Ellyse” Chardonnay 2004 – Named after the winemakers grand-daughter. Some good complexity and “funkiness” here along with roasted nuts on the nose. 89/100
Riesling 2005 – Fresh mixed fruit, lime and minerals. Easy to drink. 87/100
Chardonnay 2003 – Less complexity than the Ellyse. Some butter and nutty aromas. 86/100
“Six Foot Six” Chardonnay 2005 – Quite alright at this price (around $15) – some nice creamy mouth-feel characters and even had some structure to it. 86/100
Sauvignon Blanc 2005 – Soft and herbaceous. A bit short on the palate. 85/100
